Why Sustainability Matters
For decades, Santalum album (Indian Sandalwood) faced severe over-exploitation, leading to its status as a threatened species. To ensure your signature scent doesn’t come at the cost of the ecosystem, BUNIQUE sources exclusively from managed plantations, primarily in Australia.
These plantations mimic the natural environment, allowing the trees to reach the necessary maturity (often 15–20 years) to develop the rich, aromatic heartwood.
